Hello Blogger Buddies!
I am going crazy making my stick pins for my cards. I was having a problem with finding the right glue in order to keep the beads from slide down the pin. So I got my old rusty glue gun out, and came up with a thrifty idea to solve two problems. Watch the video and you'll see what I mean.

ReplyDeleteLove it. You are so fab. Gonna scraplift this for sure!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCould you color the hot glue pieces say for this one maybe a light pink so that it really looks like a bead? You came up with a great idea to keep them on the pin!
ReplyDeleteLorraine, you are so crafty! What a great idea. I keep a file with some of your ideas inside 'cuz my memory just isn't what it used to be :) This one will definitely be added! I call it the "Lorraine's Bright Ideas"! Don't cha love it?? Anyway, I've been wanting to share with you what I've done to some of these stick pins. First of all, super glue can't be beat on these. Better that jewelry glue, too. Second, after everything is in place and properly secured, I add a small white earring back at the very bottom (unglued)of the pin. This gives the recipient of the pin a choice to use it on their jacket/blouse lapel or on their scarf as a small bit of bling. Understated...but cute! Thanks for sharing all your wonderful ideas with us.
ReplyDeleteYou just come up with such amazing ideas Lorraine. Can I ask what size pins do you use?
ReplyDeleteThank you Karon, I use the corsage pins that can be purchased in the wedding section of the craft store. There are several different styles, but are all about the same length. After I use up this batch, I want some with a pearl head. They can be colored with copic markers and make any color you want.
