ALL OF MY CARD CREATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE LORRAINE

Hello Blogger Buddies,
I wanted to make a special thank you card for some friends of mine that are always watching my dogs for me, so that I can spend time visiting my daughter.  Last year I found a set of dogie quote stamps  at Michael's that went perfect for the front of this card.  Once again I used the Flower Shop Cricut cartridge to cut the flowers.  I cut them in various sizes starting at 1-1/4" up to 2-1/2".    I also added some pearl flowers along with just a touch of ribbon.  The leaves are from one of my spellbinder dies.  I love how the leaves can be embossed using the dies.  This is not always achievable when cutting them with the cricut.  It is nice to have an assortment of supplies you can choose from.  It helps add to your creativity.  Thank you all sooooo much again for visiting me, and I hope you have a terrific rest of the week!

Hello Blogger Buddies!!
WOW!  What a great weekend I had with several of my Cricut message board buddies.  I went to a weekend crop with Beulah, Anita, Rhonda, and about 20 other talented ladies.  Friday night we scrapped till midnight, and had to talk for another hour or so.  Morning came way to fast, but it was time to scrap all day again, and that gets you on your feet again with a breakfast and a cup of coffee or two.  The nice thing about this retreat is that you are fed three meals a day.  No need to go out and grab something.
It is so nice to gather together with old friends, and new ones to share ideas and just have fun with one another.
Here is one of the cards I made.  I have taken a picture of some of the supplies I used to put this card together.  I also took along my pink little buddie  (a gift from Beulah).  I hope all of you had a terrific weekend, and I thank you all so, so much for visiting me today.

Fancy Card Friday-Imagine

Hello Blogger Buddies!
It's time for another Friday Card.  This one was made using the frame on page 19, from the Lori's Garden Imagine Cartridge.  I cut all three layers of the frame, and used foam tape between the layers(cut @ 4-1/2").  I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure I had my sentiment right where it needed to go.  I used a card base, and then three additional layers that were adorned with a scalloped edges.  I added some green flat back pearls to the frame, and added some crystal swirls along the bottom corners.  I topped it off with a fancy bow, and here you have a beautiful card for Fancy Card Friday.  Thank you soooo much for visiting me today.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

"B" is For Blue and Baby Boy

Inside of Card
Hello Blogger Buddies!
Wow another baby has arrived.    This time I used mostly rectangles, squares, and lots of layering.  I used the Spots and Dots cuttle bug folder on one of the mats, and used an edge punch on three of the larger layers.  The center of the card I layered three ovals. I stamped the sentiment in the center oval, and then embossed it with the Swiss dots cuttle bug folder.  After adding my ribbon, the bottom of the card look like it was missing something.  So I added a row of pearls along the bottom, and one pearl to each of the top corners to finish it off.  Thank you soooo much for visiting me today.  I so appreciate all of you!  Have a fabulous week.

My Trip to Washington DC-Cherry Blossoms

I live close enough to Washington DC, so I made the trip last weekend.  Plus I had to visit my dear Daughter.   She took me all over, and we had such a beautiful day.  The cherry blossoms are blooming very early this year, so the crowds were very little.  It was so wonderful to just take our time, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.  My feet were killing me at the end of the day.  There is no such thing as cars or taxis in my daughter's vocabulary. LOL  I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Tweet Tweet Imagine More Cards

Hello Blogger Buddies!!!
It was time to send out some thank you cards, and this one was for a special lady that celebrated my birthday with me.  I used the Imagine More Cards Cricut Cartridge.  The Birdcage is on page 24, and was cut at 4-1/2".  The roses are on page 16, and they were cut at 3".  I used a Martha Stewart punch around the page heart punch to line the bottom of the card.  I added a bow to the top of the birdcage, and also a strip of ribbon above the hearts.  To add dimension to the birdcage, I added foam tape to the back.  I hope you have a wonderful day today, and thank you for stopping by to visit me.

The Wall Art For Baby To Be
Hello Blogger Buddies!!
My daughter's boss, and wife are having their first baby, and she wanted me to make a card for them that matches their wall art.  So I went through my cartridges, and found so many images that would work great for the card I had in mind.  This is what I came up with.  Now I was so exited, and having such a great time making this card, that I forgot to write the dimensions of the cuts I made.  The cartridge I used for the tree is the Heritage cartridge.  The squirrel, and hedge hog came from the Create a Critter Cartridge.  The fence is from The Lite Bloom Cartridge, the owls are from Hoot N Holler cartridge, and I believe the grass is from Everyday Paper Dolls.  Whew!!!  I think I got all the correct cartridges listed.  I hope you enjoy today's Fancy Card Friday, and have a terrific weekend.

Lori's Garden Imagine Cricut Cartridge

Hello Blogger Buddies!
I love this cartridge!  The images are just so darn beautiful.  I cut the bird on a branch from page 17, and only cut the first three layers.  They were cut at 3" on white card stock.  The rose cluster is on page 13 and I cut the image plus all of the layers.  They were cut at 4-1/2" and I added foam tape inbetween all of the layers.  Did you notice that I didn't use any ribbon or stick pins to this card?  I think it looks great without any bling!  Thank you for stopping by for a visit today.

Stick Pin Solution

Hello Blogger Buddies!
I am going crazy making my stick pins for my cards.  I was having a problem with finding the right glue in order to keep the beads from slide down the pin.  So I got my old rusty glue gun out, and came up with a thrifty idea to solve two problems.  Watch the video and you'll see what I mean.

New Baby Girl Card-Non traditional

New babies are being born, and I am so behind on my gift giving.  A baby girl card was on my list, so I decided to make a non traditional baby card.  I used several mat layers, and cut a border with a Martha Stewart Arch Lattice Edger Punch, and lined the top, and lower edge of the card with the lattice cut.  I used my Spellbinder dies Labels Four to frame the sentiment.  I added a pink bow made from a 1-1/4" ribbon.  I thought the pearls would give it that elegant look that I was looking for.  Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Fancy Card Friday

Today's card was made for a friend that wanted a fancy card for her Granddaughter.  I added roses that were cut in different dimensions from the Flower Shop Cartridge.  I used a Martha Stewart punch to frame the perimeter of the card.  I cut a small frame with one of my Spellbinder dies to frame the sentiment.  A small pink bow, and a stick pin added the final touch.  Thank you so much for visiting me today!

Birds and Swirls Embossed Friend Greeting Card

up close view of the embossing folder
Hello blogger buddies!!
I realized that I had not used my Cuttle bug folders in quite some time.  So I went through my stash, and decided to use the Birds, and Swirls embossing folder.  I cut the "Beautiful" image from the Lacy Labels cartridge at 5", and embossed it.  The folder did not cover the lower portion of the cut, but  that's ok, because I planned to add a sentiment to the lower section.  I cut two mats to add to my card base, then added foam tape to the embossed frame, and attached it to the mats.  The small oval cut was perfect to help frame some of the birds towards the bottom.  I cut a scalloped strip using a Martha Stewart edge punch, added foam tape to this as well, and attached it in the center of the card.  To finish it off, I added the pink satin ribbon, and for the final touch added two of my home made stick pins.  If you haven't used your embossing folders in a while, why not dig them out, and enjoy making some beautiful cards.
Thank you for visiting me today!
