Hello everyone! This is my last video on the Base Card Styles Series. I hope you have enjoyed all of the many card that you can make, and add your own personal touch to. These are cards, and patterns that I have learn how to make over the years, and I am happy I could share these with you. Thank you for leaving me comments, and I also appreciate all of your support.

Happy Card Making,

Lacy Labels Fancy Card

Hello everyone!  Today I was thumbing through my Lacy Labels cartridge, and discovered that I could use some of the shift features on the cartridge to make faux spellbinder cuts.
For this card I cut a square 5-1/2" card base, and added two layered mats.  I selected some of the colors for the mats that were part of the rose background.  The designer paper had beautiful roses, so I focused on one of the smaller ones.   I cut the rose out in a circle to fit under the Bliss layer cut from this cartridge.  It was cut at 5"  along with the Flower 8 shift which was also cut a 5".  I cut an additional rose, and added foam tape to give it some dimension.  I tied a corner bow, and added a stick pin, and a pearl.   I cut a mat for the inside of the card, and cut two borders the length of the card, and used an edge punch to make a scallop on the edge of both pieces.  The little strip I had left over after punching seemed like a waste to toss, so I added it to the bottom of the card.  Sometimes scraps do come in handy.  I hope you enjoy today's card project.

Base Card Style Series, Video # 8 Tri Shutter Card

This is video # 8, featuring the Tri Shutter Card.  It looks difficult to make, but I think it is one of the easier ones of the series.  The end results are amazing.  One more video to go after this!
Thank you for watching, and visiting me today.  I appreciate all of you!

This is what I have been doing today

Hello everyone, I will post the continuation of the card series on Monday the 27th of Feb.

I thought I would take a little break from the videos today and make a few cards.  The black and white card is for a lady named Tammy.  She is the service manager at a dealership I frequent and has maintained my cars for over 20 years.  She discovered discrepancies on previous work done and has saved me hundreds of dollars.  To show my gratitude, this card was accompanied by a dozen roses.  She is very loyal to her customers and is a wonderful person.  Thank you Tammy!
The card stock for this card is from DCWV Mademoiselle paper stack I purchased last year. I can’t believe I had this jewel statched away. I think I will be making several more with this theme. The paper is more vintage, and I have really been wanting to go more in the direction with my cards. Thank you so much for dropping by today to visit. See you on Monday.

The side step card is one of my favorite cards to make.  It has so many little places to add embellishments and create something really unique.  As always, I hope you enjoy today's video.

Base Card Styles Series, Video #1-Z Fold and Double Z Fold

Hello everyone!  I will be starting a new series of videos several times a week, showing how to make different style of base cards.  I will only show how to cut, and fold the card at this time.  Once I finish the series, I will go back and show step by step on how I made some of the sample cards that I showed during the series.  Since I will already have the step posted on how to make the base, I will refer you to the series video, and will be able to have shorter videos on how to assemble and design the card.  I think this will make my videos a little shorter, and I will be able to show you how to design more cards.  It will also give you a chance to make the card bases in advance, and have them pre-cut, and ready to go.  This may also save you a step in creating your cards.
So here we go......Video # 1 of the series.

A quick card I made using the Paisley Cricut Cartridge

I had someone ask me to make a card for their granddaughter who loves cats.  The cat is on page 73 of the Paisley cartridge, and was cut at 3-1/4".  The "grandaughter" was printed on my computer. Gosh it's been so long that I almost forgot how to post a picture.LOL
