Two cards using Jolly Holiday lite cartridge

 I finally got a few hours last night to make some cards. I used the Jolly Holiday lite to make the tree card and the elf card. The elf was cut at 3-1/4" and was a little difficult to put together there are a few tiny pieces. Next time I will cut the elf (lol) a little larger. That sounds funny a large elf. The tree on the other hand was very simple and was cut at 4". This would be great to use for mass produced cards or for embellishments. Thanks for visiting my blog and for your support.

Gift Card Holder With Built In Easel

I hope you don't mind that I am posting one of my last years projects. I am still at my daughter's home for the Thanksgiving holiday. I wanted to post a Christmas project so here is an encore.

Hello Scrappers! I am so excited about today's project! When I receive a gift card for the holidays, I have a hard time displaying it. I have come up with a grand solution so that you can display it with all of your other cards! I have made a built in easel for the gift card.

Cut card stock at 4-1/4"x 10-1/2". Score at 3-3/4, 7-1/2", 8-3/4", and at 10". The 8-3/4" score line will be a mountain fold. The rest are valley folds.

Add adhesive to the outside of the last flap. Which is the smallest fold. Take the first long flap and line up to the bottom flap that you just added adhesive. Your easel is now complete.

I added patterned card stock to the front of the easel and then adhered my gift card holder to it. The gift card holder is on the Wild Card Cricut Cartridge page 46. I cut it at 3-3/4".

Ribbon Wreath Christmas Card

Hello Scrappers!  I wanted to post this card for those of you that might want a Christmas card project to work on over the Thanksgiving holiday.  I used KT's ribbon wreath design that I used on my Memory Book cover.http://www.youtube.com/user/kthomdesigns  I cut the window frame from the Christmas Noel Solutions cartridge at 5".  For the easel card cut an 8-1/2" x 11" piece of card stock in half.  You will have two 4-1/4"x 11" pieces.  Fold the card in half and fold the front in half again(scoring will be at 5-1/4, and 8-1/4"  for a better description).  Cover your front panel, and the base of the card with your choice of Holiday paper.  I added foam tape to the back of the window frame.  I attached the ribbon wreath with pop dots, and added a red bow.  I then stamped a sentiment on a rectangle piece of card stock, and added two layers of foam tape to the back of the card sentiment.  This will allow your card to sit up when you display it.  One more note, I did make the wreath smaller than the original.  This one needs to be a little smaller in order to fit the window.  Thanks everyone for all of your support!  Lorraine

Alternative Branch Punch

Hello Scrappers!!  I hope that I'm not driving this project into the ground.  Some have had trouble finding the Martha Stewart branch punch.  So I found another style punch also by Martha Stewart.  It is found in the everyday punch section at Michael's by Martha.  The name of the punch is frond, and I was able to use a 50% coupon.  The price is $9.99 before coupon.  Here is my standard wreath card with the new punch and what it looks like.  Thanks Lorraine

Merry Christmas Wreath Card

Hello Scrappers!!  Last year the Martha Stewart branch punch was the rave.  I still love using it so I made this by punching three different shades of Green.  I also cut a wreath frame out of card stock to attach the branches to.  I added foam tape to the back of the frame to add dimension.  This is a 4-1/4x5-1/2" card base with a green, red, and white mat.  The white mat I embossed with the snow flake Cuttlebug embossing folder.  I added a red bow, and for the sentiment I added three layers of the same colors of card stock.  I stamped Merry Christmas, and added one layer of foam tape to the back.  For the bow, I used my Bow Easy.  This is a great tool when you have to make several bows in various sizes.  I have a picture of the Bow Easy under the tool section on my side bar.  I will have a booth at a craft fair in December, and this is one of the cards that I will be selling.  Fingers crossed!  Lorraine

Easel For Your Homemade Cards!

Hello Scrappers!  Today's project is so neat. I have been looking for an inexpensive way to display my cards at a craft fair. I looked for store easels and wow, I would have to spend my profits to accommodate all of my cards. This easel is made out of a gold colored paper clip, that came in a box of 100 from Staples for $4.00.  The clip measures just under two inches.  The clips in the pictures have been bent to form an easel, so that it will support your card. Shadow Box Cards

Hello Scrappers!  Thank you for participating in my book video series.  I also would like to thank all of my new followers for signing up on my blog.  I would like to personally thank each and everyone of you when you sign up, but I don't know how to view the new followers other than seeing your picture under "followers".  I do try and go through the list to see if I can spot the newbies.  If anyone has a tip for me on how I can find when someone joins, please let me know.  Thank you to all of my loyal members who have been so supportive throughout the year.

  So let's get crafting.   I have a fall card to share with you today.  I know Thanksgiving is just around the corner, so I have made this shadow box card with a fall scene.  I added fall leaves, and a sentiment that I printed on my computer to the outer portion of the card.  What you will need for this card is two 4-1/4x 5-1/2" pieces of card stock.  Score at 1/2",1",4-1/2", & 5".  You will also have to cut a center opening on only one of the pieces.  I used my nestabilities in different shapes to cut the openings.  Line up the two pieces and glue at the 1/2" section on both ends of the card.  Fold the second score line so that the front of the card pops out and the back sections pops in the opposite directions.  I lined the inside with card stock, and added a stamped image to the inside of the card that I colored with my copics.  This card will fit nicely into an A2 size envelope.  I am working on Christmas cards, so I hope to be posting more projects soon.  Thanks, Lorraine
